“I just got off the phone with a News 7 reporter contacted by the FBI to round up more victims.“
Moments later, the reporter calls me, rapid firing questions. My mind is scrambling with excitement. I ask how she found the story—she says Google the FBI’s public bulletin in Chicago. So I do… and there it is, the first glorious wave of the justice tsunami we’ve all been waiting for:
“The FBI’s Chicago Division is seeking to identify potential victims of Ryne Vitug who operated a travel/event booking service based in the Chicago suburbs. The FBI believes Vitug defrauded his customers by collecting payment, not fulfilling the reservations, and/or not refunding the customers their money.“
Holy…Guacamole…, victims—the Feds are in full hunt mode! This isn’t some quiet tip line; it’s a public victim bulletin straight from FBI Chicago, screaming that Ryne’s scam is now a federal criminal investigation. They’re building the case brick by brick, and we’re the ones who overnight-expressed the blueprints.
Ryne thought his little game was cute—scamming hundreds out of millions, ghosting refunds, playing lawyer while running a Ponzi out of the burbs. He never expected us. The victims. Organizing like lightning, flooding the bankruptcy with claims, forcing the USTP to call it a “classic Ponzi,” and now handing the FBI everything they need on a silver platter.
What a way to ring in the new year! Here’s to 2026: the year Ryne Vitug and his enablers finally trade their freedom for orange jumpsuits and a long stay in federal prison. (I hope your parents do less time than you…)
