As the scheme continues to unravel, it’s not all one-sided. A small handful of extended family members, close friends, and even victims have reached out to convey concern for Ryne’s parents.

This afternoon I received the following email…

I spoke with this individual on the phone for a few minutes and the story is heartbreaking and infuriating. In a nutshell, this person asserts that Maria and Joel have gone to great lengths to prevent their only kid from going to prison. This is not the first time someone else who knows the family has told me this, but the conviction in their voice made me a believer.

Leaving that conversation, I now feel that 2 things can be true at the same time.

1) Maria, Joel, and Yolanda love their son / grandson so much they will do whatever it takes to keep him from going to prison. Even to the point of selling everything they own and clearing out their bank accounts to try and prevent what is now inevitable. While my loss has been primarily financial, they have lost their son. All of their hopes, dreams and time invested to provide every possible advantage life has to offer, wasted. That is a different level of pain and, as a parent, I am truly sorry for you.

2) As a victim, there is a point at which the desire to save your son crosses the line from enabling your son to participating in the criminal behavior by trying to cover it up. Where that line is precisely located, how much you truly knew, and if you have violated laws to cover up his crimes, time will tell. Your perception of love is causing infinitely more damage to hundreds of victims and families, including your own. For those affected, what should have been fun family memories are instead replaced with feelings of shame, grief and pain.

Because of this, I will continue to post the information that I have about anyone involved, family or not. My goal is to prevent Ryne and Max from causing more damage and to keep this site as credible as possible. From this point forward, I believe we should all proceed under the assumption that any level of criminal involvement of Ryne’s parents and grandmother come from their desires to protect their son at all costs. It’s understandable, even if foolish. However, don’t mistake my words as a pass for the damage they have perpetuated.

That being said, this has gone on for far too long and the parents need to take a step back and ask themselves if you are really helping your son. At this point, the best thing you can do is to turn in Ryne and Max (and the others) along with all the information you have. The sooner the true scope of their actions are brought to light, the sooner this can proceed and all of us move on. Until then, I’m here to stay and this isn’t going away. The only question now is: are you going with them?

To the other family members of everyone involved in this Ponzi scheme, now is the time to stand. The choice is yours on how you will be remembered when the truth is revealed in its entirety. Did you let your cousin/brother/nephew continue to screw his parents and widowed grandmother so publicly? Drain them of all financial assets? Put them in a place where they may end up in prison too? Every family has people that go the wrong way at times. Hold the guilty parties accountable for their actions alone and clear your family’s name of their wrongdoings.

Will you stand and demand enough is enough? If Ryne or Max were my family members – this would be over tomorrow. One way or another.

To Ryne and Max I say, if either of you have any respect left for your parents and families, you will both turn yourself into the authorities immediately and tell the truth for once. You and Max won’t do that because you are both cowards and frauds and would rather screw your own family harder than Cersei Lannister, (remember how that ended?). The mistake that you are making thinking your law degree or family members can save you as they have before will be your downfall.

If you thought I disliked you when you stole my money, my resolve to make sure you and your conspirators are locked up was made sure today. I have absolutely zero respect for individuals who would selfishly sacrifice their own blood, leaving nothing but betrayal in their wake.

But I’ll promise you this: You can’t outrun what’s coming.
